About Us

The two of us met in middle school in 2008 and, as of February 2023, have officially been together longer than we haven’t. Becky swears that she didn’t like Kyle at first, and doesn’t entirely remember why she decided to give him a chance, but sure is glad that she did! Our first date together was either to a (chaperoned!) viewing of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs or to dinner at China Chilli, depending on how you count.

We dated for 5 years in middle and high school, 4 years long distance while Kyle went off to college, and then another 4 years after that when he moved back. In late 2021 we decided to get legally married in a civil ceremony over Zoom to ensure that Becky had continuous health insurance, but we’ve been looking forward to having a full wedding celebration with friends and family ever since.

Along the way we (read: mostly Becky) rescued several litters of kittens, two of which were so cute that we had to adopt them ourselves. We now live in our apartment in Milpitas, where you can usually find us playing a game together with a cat on each lap.
